Summary
LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the P2P Manager, the Sexual health workshop Facilitator will be:
-Collaborating with the Youth Programme Coordinator on delivering Student's Workshops and Educational Programmes, at least 2 workshops per month.
-Support the Youth Programme Coordinator with all supplies for the Educational Session (LetsStopAIDS' materials, attendance list, pens, papers and others), organizing the room and guaranteeing that all material needed will be there and at the right place).
-Supply health information and information packs to youth related to HIV.
-Work cooperatively as a member of a diverse team and attend regular Students sessions and keep up to date with relevant knowledge and information.
-Facilitate the data collection and completion of Student's questionnaires as well as with information generated after each educational session.
Qualifications
You should have the ability or aim to cultivate confidence in engaging with fellow young people effectively, with strong or developing communication skills to connect with peers. Your interest lies in sharing HIV and health information, offering referrals, and distributing resources. You excel in teamwork, taking direction seamlessly, and exhibit inclusivity in engaging with youth from various backgrounds and orientations, fostering community understanding.
