Summary
This position is being offered with the support of United Nations Association in Canada’s Youth Breaking Barriers to Employment program, funded in partnership with Employment and Social Development Canada.
LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
LetsStopAIDS has an exciting paid opportunity for a confident, results-driven professional to join our National team. Under the direction of the Vice-President, National, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide technical support for Monitoring and Evaluation through the development and management of performance monitoring systems for our National programmes and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive, high-quality and user-friendly reports
- Ensure quality of data being collected through monitoring processes throughout program implementation.
- Supports and guides quality improvement and monitoring/ planning activities
- Provide guidance to ensure LetsStopAIDS’ research and evaluation work is centered around best practices
- Collaborate with project teams in the creation of research agendas and strategies, including conducting baseline assessments, evaluations, and setting up monitoring and reporting systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior experience or education background in Monitoring and Evaluation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a larger team and mobilize resources
- Excellent written (both technical and story telling) and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take lead on data visualization efforts
Dedication and Compensation
The position offered is a 6-month contract for a full-time role paid at $17.60/hr based out of our Toronto office. The successful candidate will be required to work from our downtown Toronto office. This role may sometimes require irregular hours, particularly in times of need.
