Summary
LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.
We are seeking a bilingual (English/French) French Translation Volunteer to support our mission of youth-focused HIV prevention and global health education by helping make our communications more accessible to Francophone audiences. This role will assist with translating various external communications materials from English to French across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Translate written content (e.g., social media posts, newsletters, website copy, program descriptions, and outreach materials) from English to French.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure consistent and clear messaging in both languages.
- Provide feedback on tone, clarity, and cultural nuances in translated materials.
- Occasionally assist in proofreading or reviewing previously translated materials.
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and French (written).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tone and accuracy in translation.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and adapting to different content types.
- Previous translation experience is an asset but not required.
