Summary

LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Digital Content and Brand Identity Manager, the UX Research Volunteer will: 

-Help us build the next generation of youth-HIV digital platforms.

-Research and execute a UX research plan that gathers a clearer understanding of the youth-HIV audience.

-Ability to run end-to-end design research leading to the implementation of intuitive experiences that engage and delight – including strategy, user research, prototyping, interaction and visual design.

-Conduct and collaborate with UX Designer to understand audience pain points and areas for improvement and develop enhancements based on the results/analysis.

-Collect youth insights (both qualitative and quantitative) and translate them into a recommendation for youth experience enhancements.

-Create rapid iterations of visual and/or storyboard concepts.

Qualifications

You have knowledge of core UX principles, including: user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and interaction design. Familiarity with tools such as: Figma. You have the ability or experience to conduct and analyze user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and improve design decisions. You have strong analytical skills to identify user pain points and design solutions that address these issues effectively.
