LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders. Our mission is to create bold, relevant, and inclusive programs that empower youth and challenge stigma, locally and globally. Now, we’re looking for someone who can help us show the world what we do. Someone who lives and breathes content, thrives in fast-paced environments, and isn't afraid to turn the camera on themselves or others to tell powerful stories.
We’re on the hunt for a Social Media Content Creator who knows how to turn ideas into content that connects. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that blends creativity, social media savvy, and real-world impact. You’ll capture moments, amplify voices, and create authentic content that reflects our work and the communities we serve. We are looking for a proactive storyteller who is not afraid to take the lead, pitch ideas, and jump into action. The ideal candidate is comfortable with filming, editing, and creating on-the-go content, whether that be themselves in front of the camera or interviewing strangers.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, film, edit, and publish high-quality content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms (reels, carousels, stories, short-form videos, etc.)
- Be both in front of and behind the camera—whether you're vlogging at events, leading an interview, or capturing the vibe in raw footage
- Plan and execute content aligned with campaigns, HIV awareness days, and community-based initiatives
- Develop and manage a weekly/monthly content calendar across platforms to ensure consistent and strategic posting
- Collaborate with our communications and graphics teams to align visuals, tone, and messaging
- Stay on top of trends and bring fresh, youthful, and authentic energy to our digital channels
- Be a team player who respects lived experiences and represents communities with care and integrity
Qualifications
- Experience in social media content creation (can include freelance, personal projects, or previous nonprofit work)
- Strong portfolio or social media samples that show your ability to connect with youth online
- Experience creating reels, photography, carousels, or story-based content that’s engaging and emotionally intelligent
- A solid understanding of key issues in HIV/AIDS, sexual health, and youth engagement
- Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with social media strategy or analytics, skills in basic editing tools (e.g. CapCut, InShot, Canva, or Adobe Suite)
- Previous nonprofit, peer education, or community organizing experience Lived experience related to the communities we work with

Dedication
The role will be full-time, 5 full days per week. The schedule will be decided upon hire.
