Summary

LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders.

As the People & Culture Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Manager of People & Culture with key human resources and organizational development functions. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to building a strong and inclusive culture at LetsStopAIDS while supporting the growth and engagement of our diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support all stages of the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and communications.
  • Draft and prepare welcome letters, job descriptions, and related documentation.
  • Oversee and enhance onboarding and orientation processes for new staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure a smooth transition for new team members.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Maintain organized employee files, databases, and HR documentation.
  • Prepare materials and presentations for meetings and staff development activities.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling meetings, interviews, and project activities.
  • Create and manage budgets for people-related projects and events.
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and support broader organizational initiatives.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Passion for youth empowerment, health equity, and social impact.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience or interest in HR, nonprofit, or administrative roles (formal training is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; HR software knowledge is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
