We are seeking a Graphic Designer Co-op who’s passionate about visual storytelling and ready to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment.
As part of our creative team, you’ll contribute to a wide range of projects—from campaign graphics and social content to full brand experiences across digital and print. This is an exciting opportunity for a student designer who’s eager to sharpen their skills, work collaboratively, and help bring bold, youth-driven ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce visual content for digital platforms (social media, website, email campaigns) and print materials (brochures, posters, event collateral, reports)
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop creative assets that align with our branding and program goals
- Ensure all designs follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across platforms
- Edit and build assets, graphics, and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, or other related program at a Canadian college or university (co-op or internship eligible).
- Must provide a portfolio of recent work (website, Behance, Dribbble, etc.)
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong design thinking and communication skills, with a willingness to give and receive feedback
- Able to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently, and open to supporting both creative and non-creative work as part of a collaborative team
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience with real creative projects that directly contribute to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives
- Mentorship and one-on-one guidance from our in-house Graphic Designer and Digital Content and Brand Manager
- Opportunities to pitch your own ideas and see them come to life
- A deeper understanding of how design drives awareness, advocacy, and youth engagement
- A chance to meet and build connections with inspiring people from our local and international network
This role is ideal for a student designer who’s eager to grow, ready to collaborate, and passionate about making a difference through meaningful, purpose-driven design.
